The scope comprises a Ruhrpumpen ETL-listed pre-engineered fire pump package designed for a nominal system capacity of approximately 4,000 GPM at 150 psi, incorporating two diesel engine-driven fire pumps and one jockey pump. The main fire pumps are configured with individual 12-inch suction and discharge piping, including carbon steel piping with grooved connections, UL/FM OS&Y suction gate valves, UL/FM swing check valves, and grooved butterfly isolation valves. The package is designed for a 250 psi maximum working pressure and includes dedicated sensing, test, relief, and hose valve header connections.
The diesel fire pumps are based on ZW 12x10x20 BB1 horizontal split-case, single-stage pumps, with between-bearings construction and axial split casing. The pumps are UL Listed and FM Approved and feature cast iron casings with 316 stainless steel impellers, shaft sleeves, and case wear rings. The pumps include 250# RF suction and discharge connections, grease-lubricated bearing housings with lip seals, packed shaft sealing with Plan 7311 seal recirculation, UL/FM air release valves, suction and discharge pressure gauges, 8-inch UL/FM main relief valves, waste cones, and a 10-inch FM-approved flow meter.
Each main pump is driven by a Clarke C18H0-UFAD42-D diesel engine rated at 614 HP at 1,760 rpm, with Tier 3 emissions, a 24 VDC electrical system, jacket-water heater, NL driveshaft non-sparking guard, and a 250 psi freshwater cooling loop. The package includes 500-gallon UL-142 double-wall Newberry diesel tanks, leak detection, emergency ventilation, fuel-level monitoring, and associated fuel system accessories. The diesel controllers are Tornatech GPD UL/FM units, configured for 24 VDC/208–240 VAC service, with low- and high-fuel-level alarms, fuel tank leak monitoring, engine block heater control, and Modbus TCP/IP capability.
The jockey system consists of a vertical inline multistage CR-series pump, rated at approximately 90 GPM at 166 psi, driven by a 15 HP, 3,500 rpm, 460 V/3-phase/60 Hz electric motor. It is supplied with a Tornatech JPLT UL-listed controller, pressure relief valve, suction compound gauge, and UL/FM discharge pressure gauge. Dedicated jockey suction and discharge piping is provided in carbon steel with the required isolation and check valves.
The complete package is mounted on a fabricated steel open skid, approximately 558 in. long × 142 in. wide × 148 in. high, with an open, groutable baseplate and integrated piping. The skid incorporates engine cooling outlet piping in stainless steel, copper-nickel fuel return piping, floor drain assemblies, hose valve header piping, anchor-bolt reaction calculations, and provisions for wind loading where applicable. The package is supplied with complete hydrostatic and electrical testing, providing an integrated fire protection system suitable for demanding industrial applications.
